Published: The giant aluminum sea turtle sculpture gifted by Gulf Coast Community Foundation to the City of Venice now has a name. Thanks to the creativity of a local student, the turtle is affectionately known as 'Speckles.'

Solar Nonprofit Brings more ‘Green’ to the Region

The new Manasota Solar Co-op is open to residents in Manatee and Sarasota County—and like the previous area co-ops, it’ll provide the support and resources for homeowners and small business owners to go solar.
