Better Together Luncheon Cancelled

In light of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s strong recommendation to postpone large gatherings in the state of Florida, Gulf Coast Community Foundation has regretfully cancelled our Better Together luncheon.

Dr. Sylvia Earle (C) Kip Evans

Gulf Coast will process full refunds for all paid reservations for the event, which was scheduled for Friday, March 13, at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. (Guests who would like to donate their admission to Gulf Coast’s Environment Initiative may do so by contacting us. Otherwise, a refund will be issued shortly.)

We are disappointed that we cannot bring Dr. Earle's urgent message about protecting and restoring our oceans to our community. However, the immediate health and safety of our guests and community remain our highest priority. To learn more about Dr. Earle's nonprofit organization Mission Blue, visit Mission-Blue.org.

We apologize for this unfortunate change in plans, and encourage you to continue monitoring public health resources for the latest on the coronavirus pandemic:
