Gulf Coast Awards $665,095 in Scholarships

With school season around the corner, everyone is gearing up for a fresh, new school year. Whether buying books for your college class or getting the latest laptop for writing papers, we know that preparing for postsecondary education is on everyone’s mind.

Gulf Coast Community Foundation awards scholarships to assist students from Sarasota County, Charlotte County, and Boca Grande in pursuing higher education at accredited postsecondary institutions (universities, two- and four-year colleges, and technical schools). This year has been no exception. Gulf Coast Community Foundation has awarded over half-a-million dollars in scholarships to hundreds of local students for the 2022-23 academic school year.

Gulf Coast announced 560 total scholarships awarded totaling $665,095 for the coming school year. More so, 247 students received postsecondary scholarships from 62 scholarship funds this year. Scholarship funds established by Gulf Coast’s donors reflect their individual interests and values. They may be designated to support a particular field of study, to assist students from a certain community or school, and more.

Have a great school year!
