Scholarship Application Now Available

Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s 2017-18 scholarship application is now available. Go to GulfCoastCF.org/scholarships to learn more and apply online.

Through our scholarship program, Gulf Coast assists students of all ages in pursuing higher education at accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools. Applicants must reside in Sarasota County, Charlotte County, or Boca Grande.  They also must plan to attend a qualifying postsecondary institution during the 2017-18 academic year.

Gulf Coast awards scholarships from dozens of scholarship funds we administer. They include many established by individual donors and organizations to support particular fields of study or to assist students from specific communities or schools that are important to them. Candidates must complete only one application to be considered for all scholarship opportunities for which they qualify.

Last year, together with our donors, we awarded 451 scholarships totaling nearly $545,000 to local students! Since 1997, when the board of directors established Gulf Coast’s scholarship program, we have invested $6.7 million in deserving students through scholarships.
