Gulf Coast Selects Chief Financial Officer

Chris Stobaugh

Gulf Coast Community Foundation has selected Christine Stobaugh, CPA, as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Stobaugh is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the foundation through expert direction of its financial, fund accounting, and investment activities. She began her new position with Gulf Coast on August 13.

“Chris is extremely focused, compellingly humble, and highly entrepreneurial,” said Dr. Mark S. Pritchett, President|CEO of Gulf Coast Community Foundation. “She fits well in our culture of innovative philanthropy and service-driven stewardship at Gulf Coast.”

Stobaugh has extensive corporate finance and accounting experience, most recently serving for eight years as CFO of Grain Management, a private equity firm focused on the communications sector with $750 million in assets under management. She has held full oversight of finance and accounting in several prior positions, including acting as point person with external auditors, and has led multiple systems implementations.

Stobaugh also brings extensive community involvement to her new role in philanthropy. She currently operates a food-truck business in the Sarasota-Bradenton area that provides capital for a not-for-profit mobile eatery she also runs to deliver nutritious meals to residents in need. Stobaugh has volunteered for a variety of local organizations over the past 25 years, primarily serving children’s and women’s causes.

“Stepping into the CFO role at Gulf Coast will enable Chris to leverage her proven skills to do the two things she really loves: leading the financial growth and stewardship of a strong foundation while making a positive difference in the lives of those who reside in our region,” added Pritchett.

Stobaugh earned her bachelor of science in accounting from Youngstown State University, and she completed work toward an MBA at University of North Florida.
