Gulf Coast Named One of “Best Places to Work in Sarasota-Manatee”

Gulf Coast Community Foundation ranked third in the inaugural “Best Places to Work in Sarasota-Manatee” survey sponsored by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Gulf Coast received the honor at a luncheon hosted by the Herald-Tribune on November 2.

In a special supplement published in the paper’s Sunday, November 5, edition, Business Editor Terry Galvin wrote: “While it’s difficult to keep up with all the initiatives the organization’s staff and board have going at any given time, they all add up to one ambitious goal: making its community a better place.”

Gulf Coast was the highest-ranking nonprofit on the list of the Top 25 Best Places to Work featured.

The survey is open to any organization of any size in any industry, nonprofit or for-profit, private or public, according to the Herald Tribune. The only requirement is that it must have at least 15 employees in Sarasota or Manatee counties.

Best Companies Group, based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, conducted the survey.
