Gulf Coast Adds Two to Team

Gulf Coast recently welcomed two additions to its staff team.

Hermione Gilpin came on board September 1 as our newest Philanthropic Advisor. In this role, Hermione works closely with Gulf Coast current donors and other community philanthropists looking for the best ways to invest in their favorite charities and causes and build philanthropic endowments for the region.

Hermione brings extensive knowledge of philanthropy, the arts, and nonprofit development to Gulf Coast. Most recently, she served as a major gifts officer for Asolo Repertory Theatre, one of our longtime nonprofit partners, where she helped strengthen the theater’s endowment and annual fundraising efforts—in many cases stewarding the gifts of Gulf Coast donors. She also has worked in donor development for the acclaimed La Jolla Playhouse in California.

Earlier this month, Gulf Coast welcomed our newest team member, Samantha Eplin, as office manager. If you’ve visited or called our office in the past couple of weeks, chances are Samantha’s smiling face or voice greeted you!

Sam comes to Gulf Coast from Regional Cardiac & Vascular Associates, a four-cardiologist medical practice in Venice, where she provided exceptional office support. She also previously served as the student director for Lift Church in Venice, and helps a number of area nonprofits as a volunteer.

New to our team but longtime members of our community, Hermione and Samantha have both jumped into their new roles with both feet and are committed to advancing Gulf Coast’s mission.
