Governments Accept Report on Adult Homelessness

The commissions of the City of Sarasota and Sarasota County both accepted a new report last month from the Florida Housing Coalition on addressing chronic adult homelessness in the Sarasota community.

Commissioned by the City of Sarasota, Dr. Susan Porciau of the Florida Housing Coalition conducted the assessment and laid out recommendations in the 36-page report, Sarasota: Creating an Effective Homeless Crisis Response System. She subsequently presented the report to the City Commission on April 17 and the County Commission on April 25.
