Gulf Coast Community Foundation has awarded over half-a-million dollars in scholarships to hundreds of local students for the 2019-20 academic year. More than $215,000 was awarded from the Gulf Coast Community Foundation Scholarship Fund, an endowment established by the foundation’s Board in 1997 to help local students pursue meaningful higher education.

Brothers Trevor and Connor Poole are Venice natives and Venice High School graduates. Both are also students in the Gator Engineering @ SCF program. Trevor was a part of the inaugural class accepted into the program in 2017. His younger brother, Connor, just graduated from Venice High and will be in the program’s third cohort this fall.
