Foundation Scholarship Applications Due March 17

03.01.2010 -  VENICE, FL (March 1, 2010) – The deadline to submit a Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice scholarship application is 4 p.m. on March 17, 2010.  Scholarship opportunities are available to students of all ages who will be pursuing higher education at a college or vocational school in the 2010-11 academic year.  Students must complete their application online through the Foundation’s new scholarship portal, which can be accessed at gulfcoastcf.org/scholarships.

Students who applied for Foundation scholarships in previous years should note that there is only one online application for all Foundation scholarships this year, and that the March 17 deadline is two weeks earlier than last year’s deadline.  Complete application instructions and answers to frequently asked questions are available on the Foundation’s Web site.

Last year, Gulf Coast Community Foundation awarded 388 scholarships totaling nearly $460,000 to deserving local students.  Since 1997, the Foundation has invested more than $3.5 million in promising students through the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice scholarship and many other scholarship funds established by generous donors to the Foundation.
